What about those who recently paid?

Existing players of Destiny 2 PC are to receive an exclusive emblem not available anywhere else in December, to commemorate the first anniversary of being on Battle.net. Let’s hope all recent purchasers of the game will enjoy it! At least, there will be plenty more players to play with or against thanks to that giveaway event, which will also result in increased post-launch development.

Why Would Destiny 2 Be Given Free?

While this amazing gift is officially offered as an expression of gratitude and anniversary commemoration, it may also serve as a marketing impetus to bring more players in and promote Destiny 2’s latest expansion named Forsaken -independently sold USD39.99 for the Standard Edition-, which adds more content and modes to the original title.

We know Destiny players that want to play on PC expect an amazing experience, whether it’s on their own or with their friends – so, our paramount concern was to keep the discerning requirements of the PC community in mind, and welcoming the Battle.net and Bungie PC communities together,” said Steve Cotton, game director for Destiny 2: Forsaken at Bungie. He added, “With this gift we look forward to seeing new Guardians in our universe.

As a matter of fact, anyone who owns Destiny 2 will also have the opportunity to try out Destiny 2: Forsaken’s new 4v4 hybrid “Gambit” mode from November 9th through 11, 2018, during the Gambit Free Weekend.
