Resolution Games have announced that the release of their free-to-play, mech-powered VR sport game Ultimechs will occur on September 15, 2022, with registration for the incoming August play test available now.
Free to play VR Sport Game
Starting September 15, 2022, Ultimechs, a 2v2 Mech Arena VR Sport, will be available as free to play “with no limits on play” on major VR platforms (App Lab, Steam VR) and for most VR headsets (HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Valve Index, Pico devices). Much like other F2P games, Ultimechs will feature a paid seasonal battle pass system that will provide players with new paint jobs and other cosmetics to customize their mechs .
“When we designed Ultimechs, we tried to keep in mind what would go into creating a new sport that people would love playing and watching years from now,” said Tommy Palm, founder and CEO of Resolution Games. “Ultimechs combines the excitement, drama and atmosphere of traditional sports and makes the action quick and simple to understand, with plenty of room for big power-plays and clever strategies. Players who want to take things to the next level can sign up for the UltiPass, a seasonal membership that unlocks a wealth of ways to upgrade the look of their mechs.”
Pre-Season Test Registration
Interested players can register now for the Pre-Season Preview Weekend coming August 25 – 28, during which they will be offered to try the game for free on Steam (store.steampowered.com/app/1657780/Ultimechs/). Players will be able to pair up with other players in the community to compete in 1v1 or 2v2 matchup.
