NEWS ➢ Fortnite: What’s New In Today’s Update?

Fortnite Battle Royale just got a new update, the last one before Season 5 ends in a few days, and it comes with 2 new mega items: a portable castle and a portable stadium, among other additions and tweaks.

New Port-a-Fortress Item

A portable fort that is even bigger than the port-a-fort, this castle is huge, builds instantly, and includes built-in bouncers for an easy exit. This new “consumable” is of legendary rarity and can be found in Vending Machines, chests, Supply Drops, and Supply Llamas.

New Spiky Stadium Item

The portable Spiky Stadium is available in the Playground mode of Fortnite Battle Royale. Give it a throw and a 7×11 sized arena full of Damage Traps and Bouncer will spawn, ready for you to indulge in any mini-game your squad can come up with. Players are invited to share their peculiar ways of playing it, using #FortnitePlayground. Spiky Stadium is a Limited Time Item found in red Supply Drops (along with a ton of impulse grenades) of the Playground mode.

New Glider Redeployment Mode

The Soaring Solos is a time limited mode event offering a Classic Battle Royale experience with gliders that can be re-deployed when falling from large heights by pressing Jump, a feature that many players value, to the point of wondering why it ever disappeared in the first place.

Two Gameplay Tweaks

This patch also brings two gameplay tweaks. First, the edit button hold timing has been reduced when using a controller.
– Old School from 0.25s to 0.2s.
– Quick Builder from 0.25s to 0.2s.
– Combat Pro from 0.25s to 0.2s.
– Builder Pro from 0.25s to 0.15s.
Second, the Storm wall no longer destroys structures during the last few circles of the match.
