NEWS ➢ Major Features Added to Fortnite BR with Update 6.10

Today, Fortnite Battle-Royale gets a new update and with it comes great new content. Fortnite is among the most played games worldwide and is very active when it comes to renewing player interest.

Fortnite Competition Events

A new Events tab has been added to the game, featuring an array of different in-game tournaments that are renewed regularly. This is quite an important feature as those online competitions are easily accessed, open to everyone, and players are matched against opponents sharing similar scores during the session.

A series of scheduled dates and times is displayed for each tournament through a carousel containing all upcoming competitions for easy browsing. Every scheduled session is “a completely clean slate with all players starting on an equal footing at the beginning of play“. Players can compete over the course of several hours to earn points, by eliminating opponents or simply surviving against them. Players must score enough points during any scheduled event session to earn a golden pin for that tournament.

Boost-Empowered Quadcrasher

A new vehicle, the Quadcrasher, in now available to be driven insanely across the map, and is a lot more powerful than what had been introduced so far, namely the trolley and golf cart.. Now you can actually propel yourself and a friend into battle at great speed aboard this new two-seater vehicle, using a simple boost system that has yet to be mastered.

Filling the boost is pretty straight-forward: build it up just by driving and press the hotkey once the boost meter is filled, but what you do with the power that gets unleashed and the resulting speed is yet another story. According to the patch notes, you can “smash through buildings while boosting, boost off ramps or cliffs to catch sick air and launch players into the air by smashing into them“, no less. And surely a lot more…

More details about the new update V6.10 can be found on the Official Patch page.
