NEWS ➢ New Easter Island Map Added to Unturned (PC, Mac, Linux)

A brand new Easter Island curated map has been added to Unturned. The best and most played free survival game on PC, Mac and Linux is continuing development beyond the perfection it has reached already. From an unprecedented number of unexplored underwater relics to the unrelenting lava flow destroying the Northern shore, Easter Island has been specially made for adventure and exploration.

A Moai-themed Volcanic Island

The Easter Island Map features many mysterious Moai statues and sacred places. The island is topped with mountains and an active volcano that can be reached by foot or air transport. Other sites of interest include the capital city, a beach resort, many camps, bunkers and underwater wonders.
The map is of medium size and most suited for single-player and smaller multiplayer sessions.

New Underwater Adventure

The main appeal of the new map, on a gameplay aspect, may well be the introduction of underwater exploration and adventure. Waters are now actual looting and scavenging places rather than mere hiding or travel spots.
A lost cargo stranded deep in the water and sunken treasures scattered across the ocean await those who will manageto find them, get to them and return them safely.

To host your own server with the map, add its workshop file ID (1983200271) to the File_IDs list in WorkshopDownloadConfig.json, and set the map to Easter Island in Commands.dat.

This project was created by Steven “MelonCat” Nadeau, Thom “Spebby” Mott, Ben “Paladin” Hoefer and Nolan “Azz” Ross in collaboration with Smile Dev and with thanks to Doug Soderstrom, Danaby2, Madison “Froggo” Wilder and Timo987.
