Soulframe is a free-to-play* dark medieval fantasy MMO ARPG (massively multiplayer online action role playing game) being developed for PC (Windows) and Console (most probably Xbox, PlayStation and Switch) by Digital Extremes, the studio/publisher behind Warframe (possibly the best F2P adventure shooter game). Soulframe draws inspiration from such games as Dark Souls, and such fantasy fiction books and movies as Never Ending Story and Princess Mononoke. For now, players can register at www.soulframe.com where all they will see first is an interactive puzzle, which must be solved before registering their email for updates and given an opportunity to reserve their in-game name by declaring their Envoy.

Digital Extremes have already confirmed in the announcement that the game will be F2P. No further details have been provided but we may expect its freemium model to be very F2P-friendly if we look at the successful one they implemented in their global hit game Warframe, where a massive adventure campaign is available in whole for free, micro-transactions geared exclusively toward cosmetics and extra characters to collect, and generous in-game rewards and special events provided on a daily basis.
