The open beta release date of free-to-play top-down shooter Space Punks (Windows PC) has been set to April 20th 2022 via the Epic Games Store. A new trailer displays some the improvements made since closed beta started in 2021.

The launch of Open Beta comes with an overhaul of core gameplay as well as a new “endless end-game content experience” set in a new area where up to four players can dive in coop.

Space Punks is a free-to-play online top-down shooter with RPG elements and single player, coop and multiplayer modes, by leading Polish developer Flying Wild Hog. Monetisation is implemented in the form of founders packs pre-launch, and in the form of battle passes, cosmetics and items of convenience, but not direct power – when the game goes live. Flying Wild Hog have stated that the game will not be pay to win.
