NEWS ➢ It’s Party Time In Fortnite’s New Update 6.2

For those who have always wondered why most characters in games today pack an array of intricate dancing abilities, Fortnite’s new Update 6.2 may provide you with an answer, to some extent. Along with a new time-limited dancing mode, a new and powerful military-looking weapon has also been added.

Disco Domination Mode

While not exactly a full dancing mode, the new time-limited, team-based Disco Domination Mode is about taking control of the dance floors that have spawned around the Battle Royale island, so as to break out some moves and score points. Fighting is still very much involved though, and maybe more so as players need to make sure the dance floors are cleared of any enemies before they can dance, while being able to respawn endlessly upon death with the last weapons equipped. The team that fills their meter the fastest by capturing and defending the dance floors will win the match.

The Disco Domination Mode is played between two 50-player teams who compete over five dance floors that appear on the map whenever the storm is not moving. Emoting on a dance floor that is cleared of enemies raises a disco ball in the center of it, that must be captured. The more teammates emote, the faster it is captured. Once captured, it begins filling the team’s “dance bar” on the HUD, with dance floors in the later stages filling the bar more quickly. The first team to fill their dance bar to 100% wins unless the timer runs out. While it is not possible to build on the dance floors, these can be protected by surrounding them with fortified structures, with the incentive to build around them getting so intense that dance floors quickly vanish out of sight, concealed by a massive pile of structures that stretches as far as the eye can see.

Quad Rocket Launcher

The latest weapon addition to Fortnite Battle Royale is an impressive military-looking rocket launcher that fires up to four lobbed rockets in quick succession.

The Quad Rocket Launcher, which can be found in Chests, Supply Drops, and Vending Machines, is available in Epic and Legendary rarity and inflicts 80/84 base damage per rocket within a 300-unit explosion radius.
